If you can't stand roaches - DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! I can deal with a bug or two - this is Houston, but this place has become a veritable roach motel. I asked the management to exterminate & someone came & sprinkled a little boric acid. I'm like, no - this is a SERIOUS problem. As in I cannot use my kitchen any longer. They are in every drawer that I open - day or night. The piece de resistance (sp') was when I actually tried recently to make a frozen pizza in the oven. I heated up the oven & stuck in my food. The I was sitting in the living room & noticed some insects crawling on the wall outside the kitchen - I thought, hmmm, the heat must have gotten them moving. You would not believe!! I went into the kitchen & looked at the front of my oven & it was like something from a horror movie. I just can't even go into the details. It's way too shocking. I could sue these people psychological damage. I've tried using my own bait & spray, but crap, I can't even tell where they are coming in - it's like every crack & crevice...I think I've gotten my point across.

I will say that we have lived here a long time - almost 5 years - and this problem has occurred in our apt in just the last few mos. I thought we were spared somehow, from what so many of the other residents complained about. But no, just seems it took awhile to reach my place.

My lease is up & I will not renew this time. I will miss some of the long time residents & my view, but I cannot deal with these bugs any longer. It's really too bad. This could be - and once was - a really cute place to live & great location. Crime has happened on the premises, but usually in the late, late hours of the night (or wee hours of the morning) and we have been blessed to have slept through it.

Ownership has changed at least once & management has changed several times as well, which has been frustrating. (The most recent manager,however, Kathy, seems very nice, but I just can't wait any longer to see if things will turn around.)

The highpoint is the landscaping, large apartments & some of my neighbors. I will miss those things. Rent has also been affordable.
