PERSONAL PROPERTY THEFT

I have been an AIMCO resident since 1996. I initially moved from The Trails of Ashford-where I have a friend who has experienced water leaks from the ceiling, rats, auto theft. I moved to Hampton Hill; lived here for 3 years. Reports of Service Request go unanswered; you have to call repeatedly before any responds. I've experienced my air condition going out replacement parts have to be ordered when they should have them in stock. Milipedes crawling all over the place from outside. My daughter's bike was stolen from the patio, my neighbor's son's bike was stolen from the upstairs balcony. Courtesy officers never respond to calls. I actually witnessed a couple having sex in broad daylight behind the storage room; I called and reported it and of course- no one came out!
Management gets BITCHY if you don't renew your rental lease. I had a few items mysteriously disappear after the maintenace came out to replace a stove handle and recaulk the toilet in the guest bathroom that no one ever came out to repair correctly in the first place. And of course they refuse to replace or reimburse me, the total value is around $ 450.00 and May I add the leasing office is the only other key holders to my apartment. I was at work and my children were at school.."GO FIGURE". I called the police and made a police report and the officer toured the apartment checked windows and patio door and stated there was no forced entry and who ever took the merchandise came in with a key.. I emailed customer relations-was told by the local corporate office that this incident would be investigated with the leasing office and someone would get back with me. 1 month went by before I heard anything and when I did it was because I called to inquire. I was offered $300.00 off my next month's rent if I decided to renew my lease which I DID NOT see the need to after 3 years of hell here!! Residents are not screened properly; it appears they let anyone move in as long as you have the cash with no regards to credit checks. Fortunately I'm having my home built. I gave a notice that I would go month to month and since I reported the theft to the police dept., contacted customer relations and did not renew my rental lease. I received a 30 day notice to leave. This is by no way over because I have a higher power who protects me. I ADVISE YOU NOT TO MOVE ON THIS PROPERTY. AFTER TELLING MY STORY TO A FEW CO WORKERS I FOUND OUT THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE ON THIS PROPERTY WHO HAVE HAD ITEMS STOLEN FROM THEIR APARTMENT. My co worker stated 3 of her neighbors had items taken from their apartments too. THERE ARE AT LEAST 5 OTHER RESIDENTS!!! THIS COMPANY IS FULL OF IT; We're all contacting the Apartment Association and whoever else who will listen. The leasing office is so nice when you're signing a lease because they want your money but afterwards they treat you like ----! I plan on getting the local television stations involved in this. They have no right to treat anyone like this let alone THEFT. I was told that the maintenance men where given lie detector test half of them can't even speak english-they hire eliterate immigrants who can barely sign their name and pay them little or nothing. I will soon be out of these rat, roach, milipedes, fire ants, carpet beetle infested apartments at the end of May if not sooner!! YEAH!! ALL MY SURROUNDING NEIGHBORS PLAN TO MOVE AS WELL!! DO NOT MOVE ON AN AIMCO PROPERTY..THEY SUCK!!
