Not sure what to think.

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
My family and I moved to Heritage over a year ago and think we will proably stay for at least another year. This apartment is pretty average and there is really nothing about it that is so great or exciting. We have had a few issues, but nothing too big. We had a horrible ant problem, but that is something you can take care of yourself. They did come and spray, but we have learned that cleaning the counters and sinks with bleach every night has solved that problem. We were always clean before, but you have to be extra clean living in an apartment where your neighbors may not be so clean. We had 2 roaches in our guest bathroom, but they came and sprayed and we haven't seen one since and that does not mean they are not hiding in the walls. A few things I don't care for are that the gate is ALWAYS broken. I paid $40 for a remote and expect to use it. This is why we have crime. The management wants residents to do their part, ie not leaving items in your car that would attract a thief and so on. Well, they need to do their part as well by fixing the gate or just replace it already. My car was almost stolen during Christmas. There was nothing in my car, they just liked the car and actually tried to take it with no luck. Only cost me $550 to fix the door they messed up. They seem to be upgrading apartments but I am not one of the lucky people getting one. We were told our apt will not get upgraded until you move out. Which makes sense, but at least lower my rent so that I can pay for a non-upgraded apt. The thing that I wish they would change most and I know won't happen will be to stop renting to teeny boppers. Lately I am seeing less families move in and more college students that like to party at all hours of the day when I am sleeping. I am a school teacher and am off during the summer so I hear them all day long and all night long. They smoke outside their apartment which is right next to my child's window. They take over the pool on weekends bring coolers full of booze and pretty much force the kids playing to leave. It is uncomfortable to have to sit in the pool with college kids talking about who they scored with and what drugs they are going to do and how drunk they were last night, blah blah blah. My kid is 7 and doesn't need to hear that garbage. The back pool should be designated for drunks. Anyways, Heritage is okay. They have a lot of work to do before they can be considered somewhere I would stay forever. And to all of the poeple out there that say, if you don't like it buy a house, hey why don't you give me the money to do so and I will. Everyone living in the community has a right to peace and quiet during the work week and at 2 AM when they are running up and down the stairs screaming.
