I've lived there for 14 months and the experience has been average. I think the value is poor for the price you pay. The basketball courts were opened for a short time in the summer, but that invited non-resident guests. It was closed to reduce the noise and detract the ghetto population.

The pool is decent, workout room is old and crappy.

The ducks seem nice, but they just crap in the hallways.

Management & maint have been friendly and helpful with quick turnarounds.

Despite the crime reports for the area, the general population seems safe and friendly. I have not been witness to many letters warning of crime or been a victim. Overall, I've felt safe the entire time I've been there.

I'm basically moving out because I want a better value for the money I spend.

Yes!! My sis n law lives in Beverly Wilshire right next door which is managed by Hollister Place, they have had support beams supporting their patio for weeks, management is giving them nothing but a run around on getting it fixed, and willnot let them get out of their lease..dont even get me started on the other issues theyve had such a MOLD..yes mold, that the mgmt simply painted over....TERRIBLE!!!

I gotta agree with you on the glued cabinets and flooded bathroom. You pretty much summarized it in your title of above average price, below average space. It is sad to see eroding wood and temporary support beams.
