I,m not going to say whats already known,i,ll say what is true and i,ll even use my real name.My name is Patrick,lived on apartment 615 at beverly wilshire /hollister place(thank God i moved) and this is my story.

I lived opposite neighbours who,d have a party on the weekends and invite all kinds of people whom obviuosly didnt live there and youd tell because they just looked odd.The kind of folk who had no business hanging around wilshire place.Loud,drunk folks,shouting profanities late into the night when they are drunk and we have kids sleeping right next to the window where all this was happening since this all happened outside the apartment.When we complained to that rude BMW driving girl all we ever got was rude replies or "we,ll investigate".
The opposite neighbour had a boyfriend who i can only describe as a parasite.He rode his motorbike all the way into the apartment corridor leading to his apartment and the noise of the bike would echo all throughout the apartments and since he never stayed there all the time,his coming and going would really be a turnoff.
Last but not least,thugs stole the wheels off my car and left it on props as if they already planned all this.All this happened while for about 4 months we complained about the gate not working and they kept on saying they are waiting on a spare part!!The truth is Hollister place is full of thugs,drugdealers and child molesters and rapists.The leasing office saw my car on props and put a sticker warning me that my car will be towed unless i moved it.FOLKS,THESE APARTMENTS ARE EXPENSIVE FOR NOTHING,THE TRUTH IS THEY ARE DESPERATE TO HAVE THEM FULL AND WILL LEASE TO ANYONE STUPID ENOUGH TO LEASE ONE.IF YOU ARE THE MANAGER I CHALLENGE YOU TO CALL ME.FOR ANY FUTURE RENTER OUT THERE,BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE YOU RENT,IT IS TRUE THERE ARE PEOPLE RENTING THERE ON WELFARE AND A COUPLE OF TYRONES WHO LIVE OFF THEIR GIRLFRIENDS WHO ARE NOTHING BUT THIEVES AND DRUGDEALERS AND RAPISTS.DO NOT LEASE THESE APARTMENTS,IF YOU MUST,GOOD LUCK.

I can agree to that. I live in Hollister place apartments and I hate it so much. The new management team that they have is awful. They are rude to the kids and treat the adults ok. I hate living in these apartments. I have had a whole huge hole in front of the building I live in for almost a year and it is still not fixed. They tried telling me they are putting all of this money into fixing the property, but where it is most noticeable is still not fixed. I feel like I am living in the projects with these holes. I pay over $950 to stay in the projects. I could have just applied for the projects and been better than where I live right now. My lease is up soon and I can't wait to ruuunnn from this place. I hate it and I advise anyone who is thinking about moving here to think about it first. They have the office looking very nice, but your appartment will not be that way. Please be advised that you were WARNED before you moved. An unhappy tenant

I also live here and have had nothing but problems - my car was broken into and the management is unhelpful and rude. They do not follow the law, which my husband and I have looked up, and there are several things that they have done that should allow us to get out of our lease legally. We tried to get out because we feel unsafe and gave them our reasons under the Texas Code, and asked them if they wanted to see it. They said that they did not and said eventhough they have acted illegally they would still uphold the lease and send our rent to collection. The leasing office people are criminals and they cower behind there Riverstone Corp, yet another example of a big corporation breaking the law and getting away with it. We never had problems when the old management company ran the apartments, this has all started since they took it over in January/February. Don't rent here!!!

Wow I hate to say this but I was new to the area. In my opinion the apartments are nice but a bit expensive especially for the neighboorhood and it's surroundings. My first day in these apartments I had to call maintenance who was very rude...from there I had a problem with other things in less than a month...what a way to welcome a new tenant right???? I looked in other places but wanted something closer to my job since I have to familiarize myself with Houston. I am now stuck on this one year lease. I have had to go to the office twice because they don't input your payment correctly and have the nerves to get an attitude with you. After I resolved the matter I still got a notice and asked what was going on. For the most part since living here I haven't had problems with noise, or break-ins in my building. The one thing I think the property owner should consider is lowing cost until renovation is complete. I am a homebody so for the most part I go to work and come home and never hangout around here.

everyone is CORRECT! THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! There was never any problems with this property until the new management took over. I have lived her prior to the current management and it was more "resident" friendly than it is now. They kept this place looking wonderful and led the pack with the other 2-3 upscale apts in this area but they (Thornbury) has surpassed them greatly. From management to the lady that is in the front...the attitudes are horrible and they offer no apologies for their attitude and how they speak to their residents. It is so bad that I don't even speak with the manager, Yvonne, as she is the queen of rude. I have to deal with Ellis and forget speaking to the leasing consultant [the pregnant one] because she has definitely been trained well by management as she is undereducated in her speech and she is lazy as heck! There has been more break-in's in this place, maintenance does not fix anything..they will lie and say that they fixed something. WARNING: Be at home when you place a maintenance request so that you can see them visually fix the problems. Management lies about what she will do and does not follow-up with things. I have asked that she work with the local law enforcement and have them come in speak with the residents at least once a month or every two months for a meet and greet or maybe any safety issues to the community and property. They are not even willing to do that!! They don't care about the safety of their residents. All they want is their money. They have increased the price on everything!! For what? Nothing! There are no amenities here as offered in their ad's. LIARS!!!!!! DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NO RENT FROM HOLLISTER PLACE APTS - HUGE MISTAKE!!! If I can get out of this lease due to violations of the renter's law, then I am outta here. I encouraged people to not rent here...people ask me when they are coming to look at the property and see me out walking to check my mail...RUN TO THE NEXT PROPERTY QUICK and rent from Camden Wilshire (LOL!!) !

THe guy who stole my neighbors truck was a registered card carring offender, ANd yes as the last person stated the managment in this place is dumb as a box of rocks and about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine.... oh and the pregnat one poped but she is still as described above.
