I moved into Houston House in Novemeber 2004. They seemed ok, at first. I thought the building was a little old, but hey...you live downtown...so it's worth it' Right' No way! The problems start with water being turned off from 10am-5pm every Wed (which means brown, dirty water runs through the pipes for about 2 hours after you turn it back on), a/c and heating issues (if someone is smoking pot anywhere near your apt, it leaks into your air), broken elevators, consistant car break-ins, broken garage door, ghetto people coming in and out (no help from the "conceirge"), and a maintenence crew that is either so overworked or doesn't care to help a person out. I moved in without blinds on my living room windows, and they still have not installed them. I would think twice about this place.
