Do not move here if you are annoyed by hassles. Applicances are old, apt. always smell funky due to a/c, pipes bursting in units including mine...causing whole apt. to flood, although the maintenace response was prompt when my apt. was underwater.

Elevators are old, sometimes don't work, stairs, pool area is nasty, gym is old, dark and smells funky. Sirens blaring all day and all night in the downtown streets, making it hard to sleep sometimes.

On the positive side, the view is immaculate, the walls are solid, never really heard any noises from the next door neighbor, electric is included in rent, people are generally friendly, and it is of course in downtown so if you work there you can practically walk to work. As for crime, it is everywhere in Houston but I didn't hear of too much of it aside from the occassional car break in, etc... There is a 24 hour concierge front desk which may be the cause of deterrence for some crime, although the safety measures could be better in the parking garage.
