I moved into a studio apartment here and found within 5 months I had outgrown my unit. Upon asking if I could transfer within the building, I was informed I COULD NOT until 60 days within the end of my lease. I asked how much it would be to break my lease and was told I would need to fulfill paying the rest of my lease in order to leave! I know this unit would rented back out within one month, so they would be getting paid for the same unit TWICE! Also the water is horrible! It is turned off EVERY WEDNESDAY! Maintenance takes their time doing everything and out of the 3 elevators one or more is down quite often. They have "lost track of" several packages I have had sent here and it took days for them to locate where they were put.

Read your lease man and you will see exactly what you need to do. Did you read it before you moved in? I bet not. Most apartments that you move into will make you give written notice, pay 85% of 1 months rent and make you responsible for the apartment until they get it re-rented. They will not make you and a new resident pay rent on the same apartment...they can't. My place where i work make you pay 100% of one onths rent. One of the most important questions you need to ask before you rent.
