It's OK, but nothing special

I think these apartments are some of the nicest in the area, and the price is good. The location is also pretty convenient. The beautiful mature oak trees not only looked nice, but kept my electric bill down.

Safety, however, is lacking. I know of several break-ins and car burglaries. The grounds were not well lit at night, and I didn't feel very safe walking around.

As far as noise goes, I didn't hear much from other apartments. But, I lived right above the pool. There was a tremendous amount of noise coming from the pool at all hours of the day and night! It was horrible! Whatever you do, don't live near the pool!!!! There are a lot of families with noisy children running around unsupervised. There may as well not have been walls on the outside of my apartment, for all the noise they blocked.

The maintenance was really good while I was there. It seemed that they really made an effort to keep the place looking nice, and they were friendly. Things were always fixed promptly and correctly. But, they started to slip in the last few months. I don't know if this has to do with a recent change in management.

The office staff varies. They had one horrible girl when I moved in who didn't last long. There are a couple of really nice ladies there. They knew me, and were very helpful. A few months before I moved out, they got a new girl. She is surly and unhelpful. I hope she doesn't last long.

I think the buildings are fairly well constructed, as apartments go. A lot of the upstairs apartments have high ceilings, which I loved. The apartments are somewhat small, but the outside storage closets and the indoor closets were larger than those in a lot of other apartments. My only complaint is poor quality appliances in the kitchen.

On the whole, I was comfortable there. However I was definitely ready to leave when the time came. The noise, lack of safety, and some idiot neighbors were the biggest drawbacks. I don't know whether the recent change in management will be good or bad.
