Bogus charges after you move out and after you get your refund from your deposit

I lived there a while ago and my credit is still haunted for a minor amount, $225.00 that I refuse to pay. I moved out and was issued a refund of part of my deposit a few weeks later in the mail. Then, almost a month later and after another tennant had moved in I was mailed a "revised" invoice saying I owe them $225.00. I never paid and it is nearly impossible to fight. Not to mention the parking lot floods everytime it rains, my washer flooded my apartment twice, once before Christmas and maintenace would not come fix it so I had no clean laundry for travel. The dryer vents in the walkways always had tons of lent hanging out of them. I had what one leasing agent told me was "black mold" growing out of my AC vents. Yet another leasing agent dismissed my claims as from burning candles! I have burned candles my entire life, and not cheap ones, and I have NEVER seen anything like this. My dryer also broke twice, I had to get my balcony door and my front door locks replaced all in a year. Of course there was a major turnover in staff, and I ended with a much worse management group than I started. I do not recommend this place at all! Watch out. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS

I am living there now, since Sept. 2007, a new manager started then as well, and I have not had any problems with maintenance. They come the same day for the smallest things as a light bulb replacement to an air conditioner filter replacement. And I can't even tell you how great they were after the hurricane came through town. I was one of the few with water damage in my ceiling near the fireplace, and with in a week the roof was fixed as well as my water damage. I think they do a great job trying to keep all of their tenants happy and satisfied. Morgan and Kay have gone out of their way to help with anything i bring to them. They have been the best management I have ever had at an apartment complex in the 11 years I have been leasing. Sorry about your problems with the old management, I have had an issue like that before with another complex, but I assure you things are different here now.

I will be sueing the property for the delinquent invoice that they sent since according to the Texas Apartment Association must be postmarked within 30days of the moveout. Which in this case was 32 days ( have ALL records). According to the Texas Apartment Association you can sue for 3x the amount, plus attorney fees and a $100.00 fine. And trust me...I have moved on to bigger and better things. I am just warning others, because once it is on your credit you have to fight to get it off and granted this has been since 2004, and currently it is 2008 so obviously you can't subtract or you would know it is 4 YEARS!! IF it wasn't currently affecting me I would not have posted the comment! And yes I am pleased there is new management. :) Enjoy your stay.

Do you know what I find amazing, MissDaisy? That you are writing a review on an apartment where you lived almost 6 years ago, which is not only a new management team, but the owner has also changed since then. I AM a loyal resident who gets updates through my email when someone leaves a comment about the community where I live. My suggestion to you would be to move on. Pay the bill or not, it's up to you, but move on. Just a thought.

Good for you, Ms Daisy! I don't agree with the "move on" advice--if no one stood up for their rights, we would all be in a bigger mess. I had a similar problem and I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If the new management is so excellent, then WHY haven't they listened and solved this problem for you? The problem originated with old management I understand, but whoever OWNS and manages the Inverness NOW has the ability to wipe this bogus charge off and they are stupid for not doing it. Ms Daisy, thank you from all renters!!! From: previous Inverness resident

Call MARTIN FEIN. That was the owner then.
