The management in this complex is awful. When you ask a question they are clueless. Smiles and no substance. Moreover they promise you (on the phone and once you visit) things that are later not to be found in the lease. We were recommended by a relocation company, and we regret that mistake.
Good luck finding someone to talk to; although they have office hours, the leasing office is frequently closed.
People do not get ahold of their pets, frequently I've seen dogs and cats by the pool (with their owner!!). Dog waste is to be found almost everywhere, people here do not pick after their pets and the management doesn't care.
The management gave us remote controls for the doors that do not work. Sounds like no big deal, but since it rains constantly you have to get yourself wet to press the buttons and open the door. This place do not have sidewalks and it is unsafe to walk out using the same door that cars use.
The maintenaince people do not speak english, if they show up to your appartment they cannot explain why they came or what they did to fix it. The way they pick the trash is by trowing it over the balconies. It makes a mess down there.
The towing company has not been able to remove abandoned cars, despite 'warnings'.
The facilities and amenities are poor in comparison with newer, similarly priced communities in the area.

1) Management is available during their office hours. If not, they tend to come back if you have patience. They have phones with an answering service, too.
2) It is true there are quite a few people who don't leash their pets, but we do. And the management does care. It's the residents who constantly go against the rules that don't care.
3) Our remote works. It's worked the 3 years I've been here. One gate has been out this week, but there's another gate on the other side that works. If it's raining, use that one.
4) There is a pedestrian gate. Use it. The cement and bricks on the ground between buildings? That's the sidewalk.
5) I say hello to the maintenance staff every morning. I've never had a problem communicating in English with them. Perhaps you should brush up on your English.
If you don't want them throwing your trash over the balcony, you bring it downstairs.
6) What if that was your car? Maybe it wouldn't be you. But I bet someone relies on having that vehicle there.
7) See, now I'm not sure if you've even lived here. This is a very nice community with great amenities. I know, I use them all.

I think the apartment management is the best I have ever had at an apartment complex, and I have lived at 5 different apartment complexes in the last 12 years. They go out of their way for me and other residents that I know. I love this apartment community. Yes some residents do not pick up after their dogs, being a dog owner myself I find that disgusting on their part, but management has sent out numerous letters on our doors about picking up after your animals and the Houston leash law. Some residents just feel the rules don't apply to them, and maybe there should be consequences more steep for those residents. It sounds like you have an issue with the management more than anything, and if you go in to talk to them about these issues progress can come from that. The only reason I say that is because if you had gone to management about your issues, you would not be downing them so much. They are very sweet and helpful women in that office and have done so much for me with my issues over my dogs and neighbors. Not to mention at least the maintenance men come when you need them! Who cares if they can't tell you what they did to fix it. They don't need to, that is why you rent and not own!

Are you kidding? This is the best place I have EVER lived. I have now lived at The Inverness for 9 and a half years! The ladies in the office know everything about their jobs and what is going on in the community. Anytime I have ever need anything they have been so quick to help. The maintenance speaks BOTH english and spanish. I know all of them and have had fluent conversations many times. They are so friendly and would do anything to help. The gate has been broken this week, and I have already seen the gate people out there to fix it, asap! This place has always gone above and beyond anything I would ever hope for with an apartment and if you are really this ignorant to not see the sidewalks that you walk on daily, then we don't want you here anyway! Adios!
