I live here also and have never had any problems and my car is unlocked everynight. There are very nice things on my patio as well as others and we never have a problem with them being bothered. Unfortunately there is no where that we can live, work, or shop in the USA that we can not be a victim of some kind of crime. That is why we all have to do our best to beaware of what is going on around us and take percautions to prevent them. I lived/and worked for apartment communities for over 20 years in the best and not nice of neighborhoods and know that it happens everywhere. Sorry for your loss.

I live in Lake Bridge with my mother, and actually management DID put out a notice concerning the break-ins. Furthermore, I know that at least one of the break-ins occured when a car was left unlocked. Although it shouldn't have happened at all, residents should take personal measures to protect themselves and their belongings. I've been in the apartment industry for two years and I know what it feels like to be held responsible for issues that are not possibly within your control. Background checks only go so far, and many property crimes are committed by persons not living in the area. Thankfully this community is gated, which cuts back on some (but not all) of the problems that can arise. Management is not to blame for the crimes of criminals. Crime really has no address. Homes in rich neighborhoods can be targeted just as easily. This is a beautiful community, and the staff outstanding. I find the implication of Jennifer on a personal level is unethical. I'm sure there was a professional reason if there was a lapse of time between her becoming aware of an issue and her reporting the issue. There are legal variables regarding these types of situations that the person who posted this review failed to consider.

Neila777- Do you know how many incidents happened before you got a notice? You don't. You got a notice after the SECOND incident, not the first one which is when I was broken into. My neighbor raised hell to the office because she fell victim to the second batch of cars that were broken into. That is when the notice was finally put up. My problem was that the residents who got broken into the second go around may have locked there doors and taken any valuables out of there cars. This is a nice complex and safe which causes people to let there guards down. Had the notice been put up the first time it may have prevented the lost of others personal belongings the second time.
