Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2004

Well, I moved here years ago, back in 2000. Lived on the side of the bayou and I looooved every minute of it!! Although, the neighbor downstairs from me always yelled at his wife and beat her and would make her cry, but other than that, it was an awesome experience!! I lived on the third floor, pool view and it was heaven for me because I was seeking independence from my parents. After my lease expired, I got a wild hair and moved to Miami for a couple of months... Then I came back and moved in with my parents again. Not until February of 2003 did I try to seek the comfort of this apartment yet again and was pretty much dissappointed! I started with an efficiency, on the other side of the complex this time (side of the leasing office). The efficiency was pretty cozy for the price, that I will say. But the tree roaches and mosquitos that were always lingering on my door step and sometimes even inside my apartment were just tooo much to handle. It got to the point of me bombing my apartment with Raid bombs every other week, while I was at work. It got that bad!! Simultaneously, I was dealing with a neighbor that was stalking me and just had to move!! So I moved to a bigger apartment, alittle farther down the driveway and I liked it at first! I had gotten a dog, so the space was pretty much awesome! At first the neighbor downstairs made ALOT of noise with her radio and it was all hours of the day and night. I complained SEVERAL times and supposedly there's a courtesy officer onsite but I have NEVER seen one! It took the two leasing agents to actually come over to knock on the door and ring the doorbell twice at her apt. for them to send a not-so-nice letter to her. Now it's cool with her, but it took toooo many tries with management to get that fixed! Then in my apartment the floor near the entrance in the kitchen is crackling and broken. You can hear the actual concrete or tile crackling and moving when you step on it. I am now dealing with the front door not shutting correctly...can anyone say "foundation problem"! Yes, these apartments are old, but nice and the maintenance is first class! They work hard to get your stuff done! There's dog poop everywhere! I have a dog and abide by the law in picking up my dog's waste, but many people are lazy and just plain don't care to abide by the law and this complex (atleast by my side) has surrounded itself with dog poop on walkways and on the grounds. There's been a beehive nesting by the walkway to the carports that's been there for months. I hope a kid or adult doesn't get stung. I've seen an inspector out there looking at it and writing notes, but nothing has been done about it. One of the residents cut her toe open while stepping on one of the metal ground to concrete separators because it was sticking out of the ground and it was pretty sharp!! I will admit though, the comment I read about skanky people or people with lower class being allowed to live here is true. That's why I am moving to a newer more closer to work complex that I am truly happy with my choice!!
