Eenie Meenie Miney ...New Management Again!

The management team has changed so many times in the past few years it is ridiculous. Nothing is handled in the appropriate manner. "No one" ever knows a clear and concise reason for anything. They have an extreme case of "We have no record of that". With the amount of rent I have personally paid to this complex over the years, I would think that my file stands for itself. I have repeatedly been given false promises time and time again. Resident referral fee' I never got it. My deposit returned after moving from one unit to another and being made to PAY MY DEPOSIT AGAIN instead of transferring the initial deposit. Rent has been raised due to upgrading of appliances which it grossly unfair considering my last stove was from the late 70's. The updates should have been done long ago.
Most recently I was towed from my assigned parking space because they "leased it to another tenant because I was not on file as having a spot".
I've lived here for how long and I don't have a spot' I suppose I just took a wild guess that the spot I've been parking in for all this time was empty. Psychic power is not an ability I possess. I filled out a form and turned it in WITH my stall number and was given a nice little blue sticker which was to notify IDEAL TOWING that I had permission to park in that spot. SUDDENLY as if overnight... there is a new manager there and they have no idea why the last manager never turned in my parking information. As intelligent as she tried to appear, yet sorely failed, she was clueless as to how I got the sticker to begin with. She was clueless to what sticker I was talking about. She was clueless to anything I asked her she just kept shuffling through papers and never even maintained any type of direct eye contact with me through the entire conversation.
When it comes down to it... I just don't do business with people that can't keep the lines of communication open and actually treat their customers with respect. I've stayed in and out of the office for just this reason. This office has switched managers over 8 times since I have resided here. Of those 8 times 5 of the changes have been in the last 2 years. This is utter insanity. CLEARLY this company has problems within the core. I no longer see friendly familiar faces each time I pay my rent... instead I'm not even greeted when I walk into the office and calls are not even answered, but go straight to an answering machine. I actually sat in the office and called AS I WAS SITTING THERE and they failed to answer the phone at all. It went straight to their answering service because they apparently don't have the ability to multi task. I suppose when you have an office full of angry tenants staring at you, you may feel the need to concentrate on the task at hand.
My car being towed was the last straw and I highly recommend any new tenants have their heads examined before they sign a lease and to make sure whatever documentation they put in your file you keep a copy of. Including those they tell you that you cannot have. Argue and get your copy. They towed my vehicle when the form I signed "MAGICALLY" disappeared from my folder and the manager that I PERSONALLY HANDED THE DOCUMENT TO no longer works there. $30 dollars a month for parking is first of all ridiculous to pay when I'm legally disabled and have handicapped license plates on my vehicle.
Their last stunt they pulled was going out into the parking lot and actually PAINTING OVER HANDICAPPED SPOTS. It was explained to me that the spots were not warranted because of lack of tenant use. HELLO! I'M HANDICAPPED OBVIOUSLY YOU NEED THE SPOTS!
It was at this point I was assigned a new spot closer to my apartment. The one that they "HAVE NO RECORDS OF EVER ASSIGNING ME".
So to any prospective future tenant, or to any current renter I advise highly to keep anything the people in the office have you sign authorizing anything. Ask for copies of EVERYTHING in your file is it your right to have copies of that documentation.
Good luck to any poor soul that decides to move here and heaven forbid you have a disability or really need a parking spot close to anywhere you decide to move.

Is the manager, Cathy, no longer at Lakeside Place?

No she is no longer there. When I was given the information I was told that Steven is the new acting manager and I have spoken with him about my parking situation to no avail. I still have no parking spot and I have to some days drive all over to find an available parking area when I return from work. The handicapped spot near me was removed so not only do I no longer have covered parking since there are no available spots near me. But I also have no handicapped spot near my apartment.
