Overall a nice place. The management is not the greatest, they are usually understaffed when I go to the office with a problem. The place is owned by AIMCO, a huge conglomerate, so don't expect a lot of individual attention.
The maintenance is good. Parking is very tight - probably due to the fact that we Americans are always buying more and more, bigger and bigger cars! I don't pay the monthly fee for a parking space, so it's really musical chairs.
The management upgraded all the appliances and lighting to energy-efficient, I'm sure to get a tax break.

I find it interesting that this was "posted" the day after two negative reviews went up. This place can be summed up in one small sentence: Lakeside Place is the best of the worst. And that's not saying much. Not only is the complex understaffed, they are definitely a callous, self-serving bunch. They say whatever it takes (in the most patronizing way possible) to get you off the phone or out of the office. The maintenance guys work, but not very hard. No REAL repairs are made; only quick fixes, which in my book, are not repairs. Especially if you have to call them back to fix the same thing a month later. With all the complaints of mold, the residents need to get together, hire an attorney, and put together a class action suit against AIMCO. Easier said than done, I agree, but if no one does anything, the problem will persist. There are legality issues with mold. Go to the office- ask for a copy of the "mold addendum" you probably signed when you signed your lease. DO something. Don't just vent on this website. Fight back.

Then we do need to FIGHT BACK. It is ridiculous.

The only positives in this review were changing the appliances, which was probably to deal with lawsuits from the annual electrical fires from the old appliances, and good maintenance??? Come on! As the other respondant said, this place's maintenance sucks - only quick fixes. Read your policy (sec 31, I think) about everyone's obligations with maintenance and use it to get out of this dump. If you're considering living, DON'T! A smart person would run away. There are much, much nicer places within 4-5 miles for only a little extra, which is better to pay for peace of mind, instead of to break your lease and to movers to get out. Be smart and do not live here, or you will regret it!

I find it funny that the only bad thing this poster said about the office staff is that they were "understaffed". That is putting it mildly. The few people that do work there, don't work. They don't care at all about residents. They lie. They lie. They lie. I should have known from day one the extent of their lies. One of the many promises they made to me to get me to move in was a color accent wall. Once I moved in, I asked to see swatches so I could choose what color. When I went to the office I was told NO that they didn't offer that. I was promised with my first lease renewal that they would clean my carpets. I was promised with my second lease renewal they would clean my carpets. I never did see any of it. The will tell you anything to get you out of their office. As far as maintenance goes, the one responder is correct. They "fix" nothing. They band-aide everything. My garbage disposal actually FELL OFF my sink. I had complained and complained about my sink leaking. Funny thing that every time I enetered an online work-order and I even got an acknowledgement, they never seemed to receive it until I bundled up all the acknowledgements and sent them to corporate. If you want service, move to someplace where you'll get it. You won't get it at Lakeside Place.
