Moved in- my first apartment experience.
Don't like the paint color of buildings, but love the layout. It's open, not cramped. I don't feel like I'm constantly staring into my neighbors living room.

Neighbors are quiet & friendly. Tolerant of natural, daily noise (vacuum, shower, TV- if neccessary). They will give you a smile, a wave, will talk to you.

Grounds need mulch, but very well maintained. Limbs on trees trimmed, very green. Grass where there is sun (obviously). Shrubbery maintained. Grass is cut about once a week. (they clean up the grass too, not left flying around)

Pools are up and down. Need a little work, but I have been told that they are being refinished to meet Saftey Regulations (broken edge and light)

Awesome having Hershey Park a block away. Really family oriented. I go running in the mornings or afternoons. I'm not a night runner (my own saftey). Always see kids, family, men and women taking advantage of the trails.

Bayou floods Wilcrest bridge with major floods (large flood recently which flooded Bear Creek also severely) and Ike

Appliances--- life and money savers! New, dependable. Energy StarAC during summer time is a blessing. My Electric bill last August was not over $100 (I keep my AC on 75, I have a Large TV and Fishtank).

Parking is difficult during rush our times or Sunday afternoons. Weekends everyone is home so it's a bit more difficult. After 645 on Monday-Friday's is difficult because everyone is generally coming home from work. Carports are a great investment that only cost one less "eating out" meal.

Staff-- Though a bit frustrating how the staff keeps changing, they do their job and they do it well. If there is a problem, there is always someone you can speak to about it who can help resolve it (manager, leasing, assistant manger, etc). Maintenance is quick, thoughtful, and thourough. Remember to treat someone with respect if you expect to be respected.

Overall- A great bang for your buck. The area is nice and "memorial like" with trees. It's secluded but close enough to get you to everyday places quickly (grocery, gas, mall). Large apartments for good quality prices. A wonderful place to be.

There are alot of bad reviews, but they are all generally parking and staff. The parking is easily fixable with a carport (only $30 extra a month, soemtimes I think they do specials) or knowing where to look. And if the staff is rude to you, it's probably because you were rude to them!

Thank you for posting this. I know that these apartments may not be "resort style" but I am looking for a decent place to live at a cheaper cost than what I am paying now. If I decide to move here- I will definitely get a carport. Again- thank you for the thorough, detailed critique of these apts. It puts me at ease. People ALWAYS post when they have a bad experience- but you really have to like something to give positive feedback. Thank you!

WTF? "If the staff is rude to you, it's b/c you are rude to them?" give me a mother f.ucking break. Thats horsesh.it... We pay RENT for a reason. They are there to SERVE US. If i am rude to someone @ my job, i would lose my job. Those ppl in the leasing office are INCOMPETANT FOOLS. The managers never stay longer than a few months. i cant believe there are ppl actually trying to take up for this POS complex. There's no way my apt is worth the 800 dollars I pay a month.
