I have lived in plenty of apartments and these place is by far the worst I have ever lived. They made sure to make any visit to the leasing office a very unplesant one. I turned in my keys this weekend and I am so happy to finally be out of there. I sure popped a bottle of Champagne to it. This apartment complex has alot of construction being done but it will never be enough fully help this place. I'm so excited that I finally get to live w/o construction workers and large machines in my way and blocking me in and out of my paid for parking spot. If it was up to me I would have just torn this place down and started over. A week before I moved out I rec'd a note on my door saying that since there was such a large amount of work that needed to be done on my building I was going to have to leave my apartment in two days because the work was to extensive to do with us residents living here. So, I was told that the complex was going to put us up in a decent hotel for seven days and give us a $275 Amex Gift card to live off of. My first reaction was horror just because I only had 8 days until my move out date. Then I started to get excited that I was going to be able to actually stay somewhere that does not smell of steaming dog poo and dirty trash on the lawn. So, I called the manager and verified this was definitly going to happen. I rushed around got all my stuff packed up and then the next day I got a call from the manager that they could not get ahold of one resident and the deal was off. I told them they made me rush my move and I got everything packed and that I was going to have to live in this place all packed but all I got was a "Oh sorry". It would have been one thing if it was a genuine apology but of course it was not. Its almost like they hired robots to work in the leasing office. I had a leak a few months ago and pretty much have had this leak off and on since the day after I moved in. The maintenance guy just put a note on my table to let me know "painted water spot". Wow that fixed the problem no wonder it keeps coming back! Oh well seriously just wanted to warn people stay away this office staff and managers are HORRIBLE! They have told me multiple times that I did not pay my rent and then they realized it was an error on their part. They even double charged me and made me come in and wait an hour to fix their problem. They don't take packages in the office they will send anything you receive back. They were kind enough to start this last year right before Christmas! They are spending all this money trying to paint and repair the outside of the apartments when the biggest problem is the parking issue. Each person that lives in an apartment should be able to find a spot. But, living here I could never find one. I even had to park outside the gate in the road multiple times until I got a ticket of $150 and then I had to break down and add $30 a month for a spot on top of that. And it was not even a good spot at that. Also, I have heard complaints multiple times about ants coming through the book shelves from residents. Okay that about sums it up for now. I could probably write a novel about how horrible this place is. I called Aimco but they seemed to try and cover for all the mistakes the apartment complex made. The only good thing I can say about this place is you get a large apartment for the price. But, if you want a nice comfortable place to live with good friendly, caring leasing agents. This is not the place for you.

Bee_Frank, you're obviously one of the office staff. Only someone on the inside would defend the rude lying staff that are employed there. I too popped a cork the day I moved out. Even though I have all my receipts and paperwork showing I paid them everything that was due, I'm gonna worry for a long time to come after reading the one review where Lakeside came after that one person 18 months after their moveout for charges they say were due.

construction is a nightmare; like living in a third world country. and why did they not do this while performing hurricane renovations? now we get to suffer twice. what a nightmare. glad you're getting out - wishing i could do the same...

Yeah, those bastards! Why couldn't they be more like the complex down the road that still has the plastic sheeting on the roof and fallen trees rotting in the back parking lot. Yup, you were inconvenienved by the construction. Poor pooky.
