Lamonte Park Townhomes

This apartment complex wrongfully takes advantage of tenents. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/31/2008 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008   My residence in this apartment complex was substandard. I had a rat investation in my apartment that I notified the manager of the need to get an exterminator regarding and none was ever provided. All that I was provided with was rat bait which didn't work in eliminating them since I had to get traps and trap them myself. When there was a leak within the ceiling causing damage within the kitchen I had to wait 2 weeks to have it repaired and when the repairs were made paint was splatterred upon the counter and dishes stored in the area. Upon leaving my apartment early I tried giving notice to the apartment manager but she wasn't available and was supposedly going to the hospital for treatment of some sort, but when I requested to see her as soon as possible she didn't make any effort to see me until the final day I was there on May 6th although she had still come in to collect the rent payment I'd made. Although I'd only been in the apartment for 6 days I was charged for rent for the whole month when I should've been given credit from May 7th through May 31st since I wasn't residing on the premises and didn't have keys to access the apartment or the grounds but it wasn't returned. Instead I was sent an additional bill for a reletting fee of $565.25 of which they charged me $298.00 after deleting my deposit on the apartment without giving credit for the time I wasn't living in the apartment that notice had been given on May 1st after I had been terminated from my employment. Unfortunately with the mountain of medical expenses I'd been paying on and still owe a great deal on after being severely head injured during a robbery that occurred a mile and a half away I wasn't able to afford the rent but still had the time I wasn't staying there charged to me allowing me to be taken advantage of finacially due the the lack of credit I was provided.
