I've noticed that the Lanesborough reviews are generally negative, and this may be because people only write reviews when they've had a bad experience. I've lived at the Lanesborough for a year now, and it's been good. Convenient location, prompt maintenance, and an awesome gym have made this a great place for me. Additionally, my apartment is huge for the price that I pay, and it was in perfect condition when I arrived--brand new carpet and repainted walls. Also, the complex seems relatively safe; it is in the middle of Houston, so there's only so much that can be done to prevent car break-ins. The security has gotten a lot better about checking non-residents when entering the complex though. I do have two complaints though: 1.) there is no trash pick-up service; you have to take your trash to one of the large bins on the sides of the complex. 2.) the dryer in my unit takes forever; maintenance claims to have fixed this issue but my average drying time is still 4 hours. Overall though, I would recommend this complex to someone who wants to live in the Med Ceter and wants easy access to the light rail.
