There have been over 15 apartment robberies in this complex alone since mid-August.

I have also heard from neighbors of 2 assualts.

I have not met one person in this complex who has not had their vehicle broken into.

My car was too.

Supposedly, these robbers get into your vehicle and find out which apartment you live in based on papers found in it and then watch and wait for you to leave.

They have even broken into an apartment while tenants were there and terrified them.

The management is aware of all of this, but remains lukewarm on the situation.

They only have guards during business hours on Mon, Wed, and Fri.

These robberies happen on Tues and Thurs.

My rent is over $1000/month and this is the security I get.

I really like the maintence guys.

They are very nice and get things done on the first try everytime.

However, they are totally understaffed (2 men/ 500 units).

They work hard, but it takes a while to get something fixed.

Management is nice and cordial in conversation and I think they care.

However, they are slow in getting stuff done because their corporate office is in Nebraska.

It takes a tenant calling Nebraska to get things done for yourself.

It isn't because the office here doesn't contact them, but it's because it takes an irritated tenant for Nebraska to get moving.

They have accused me before of not turning in my rent, and try to charge me extra, so then I asked for dated documentation that I turned it in on time.

Since that occured, the staff there has changed and things like that are better, but I still get documentation for everything.

I was also disappointed that it took a year after hurricane Ike to fix the damage on both sides of the apartment complex.

An entire brick wall was down on one side and a carport on another.

It looked completely ghetto, especially the dilapidated wall and visitors couldn't believe how much I paid in rent to live here and it look like that.

Good points: It is very quiet here and I have never had a problem with noise.

It is convientient to the light rail and med center.

The maintenence guys are nice and fix things in one try.

I have never met a bad neighbor and we watch out for each other since the robberies have been on the rise.

Inside, my apartment is nice and I have a decent view of the med center (which they charge you more/ month if you get better views and live at higher levels).
