Good if you're single - I wouldn't bring a family there.

Most of the problems that I had with the complex result from the fact that it is a huge complex. Parking wasn't hard to find but it could sometimes be a long walk from the car to the apartment. A side effect of this is that if someones car alarm goes off, they might not be anywhere nearby to hear it and turn it off.
The outside of the complex isn't all that great, the parking lots need repaving and much of the paint is old and peeling, but the inside of the apartments are fairly nice.
One thing I didn't appreciate was not being told (until much later) that the AC could not be turned down below 70 degrees.
Responses to maintenance calls were pretty quick, usually the same day. Managers were friendly and helpful.
The neighborhood is rather creepy, but I felt relatively safe within the complex.
OVERALL: If you're single and working or out most of the time and just looking for a place to sleep/eat, and you're not intimidated by a crumby neigborhood, then this place is probably alright. I wouldn't venture to bring a family here though . . . neigborhood is not so good.

You are absolutely right. It's an okay place for students, you get to save by just paying one bill, you get your high speed internet with digital cable for under $50.00. However, washer and dryers are old, but again acceptable. I had my aunt and my nieces visit from sugar land, I was so embarrased. Renwick and Gulfton is not a safe spot, some of the tenants happen to be hookers F.Y.I, but what do you expect when you live in a below 20k neighbourhood. The security if tight, but they have to be considering the fact that you live next to Napolean which was documented on ABC nightly news for its hight crime rate. I live on the outside apt complex, I don't even drive a brand new car. However, I am still nervous parking my car outside... my friend drives a very expensive vehicle, when she spends the night, I am having to jump out of the bed everytime I hear a car alarm(break ins could happen anywhere. However, it'll probably have a higher possiblity of happening at Lantern than at a Sage Loft Apartment) I have ecountered poor service with the Manager (Mary) and anther lady at the maintance office. Other than that, it is okay if you are on a budget....It's not a place you should take pride in.....If you make enough to live elsewhere. Your safety is important.
