This is one of the best apartments one can rent if one wants to live near the galleria/downtown without paying high rent. The only better apartments are newer, more expensive, about $800 for one bedroom...so you see the value here' Although this is an older complex and the neighborhood has bad reputation, inside the complex is a safehaven, and entirely different world from the world outside the gates of the complex. The floorplans are roomy, amenities are great, management & maintenace are great, free movie rental, exercise classes, and a fitness center, what more can one ask for this kind of money' If money is an issue but you still want to maintain a certain good standard of living, this is the place to live. However, if u have kids, I wouldn't recommend this apartment bcoz of the schools in this neighborhood.

With the money you save by renting here, you can send your kids to one of the convenient private schools. However, if your kids need help transitioning from speaking primarily Spanish into English, the nearby public schools are worth a close look. Sylvan Rodriguez Elementary is literally across the street from one section of the complex. It is a new school with lots of kids from the neighborhood walking to school with parents and family members. It looks to me as if the parents are involved. That can only be a good sign.
