I say LV is a great place to live. Not superb, but great. I have only been here half a year, and this is the first time I have rented. My husband has rented several times before and told me that this was the best place he has been. If you're not satisfied with LV, go rent an apartment off of Richmond strip and see how that goes. Good luck with that by the way. I moved from a house in Meyeraland near Bellaire City to this neighborhood. Meyerland is a very safe and quiet neighborhood. You won't hear me complaining. The community is not like Meyerland's of course, but I have not been bothered since I moved here. I am an Asian female, so I don't blend in as much as others would, but I haven't gotten any trouble, even when living by myself. The price is great for us because my husband works at home and we run 2 computers, a printer, and a PDA at all times. The A/C went out twice and both times were fixed within 24 hours. I've seen one tree roach in the apartment, and I had a minor sugar ant problem in the bathroom and kitchen until the exterminator came and fixed it. Everything in the apartment works fine. There are only a few minor complaints I have about the apartment. When they paint it before they move in, they don't do it very well, so sometimes the paint sticks to the bottom of your plates and they didn't change the carpet before we moved in, but I knew that moving in that they wouldn't because they told me. Sometimes, people are on the phone outside very late talking loudly on their cell phones and my neighbor liked to watch TV loudly but that has stopped recently. The layout of my apartment is not very convenient for successful arrangment of furniture. Other than those things, I am satisfied with everything else. I like the guards, they are nice and funny and not racist. Once I was trying to beat the dirt out of my mat and the landscaper who did not speak English offered me very kindly to wash it for me and even put it on the shrubs to dry. Most of my neighbors are very nice, except for the occasional snotty, self-absorbed Asian chick. I would be very comfortable raising a family here. The landscaping is nice and a good place for kids to play safely. I think security is great and every employee of LV I've ever encountered. I like this place and will probably be here for a while. This is coming from someone who's been spoiled living in Meyerland/Bellaire City.
