Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I've lived here for 3 years and at first all was great. However, the site was sold and new management took over in 2005 and things went to hell. Here are some of the frustrations I had to deal with:
receiving 24 hr evictions notices on door after making rent payment always on time( they credited wrong account)
unsafe conditions (units & cars broken into)
Un-responsive management (you better be prepared to wait a long time and then not get any answers as no one knows what s going on)
Hugh water bills it used to be individually metered but new mgmt lumped all units together 1st I paid <$10, then it went up to $20 and finally before moving out the water bill of a 1 bedroom was $30 (and I was out on travel for most of the month).
No parking unless you park in early afternoon (not enough spaces for units)
Dirty and loud pool area with no guidelines
Lost rent payments
Lots of dogs and therefore lots of dog S*** in the yard/grass (I call it the poop mine field) and the smell in staggering!!!
Overall, I would have to say I would not wish my worst enemy to this place... those guys in Guantanamo have it much better than the hapless dwellers of Las Ventanas.
It would be better if mgmt was more involved, reasonable and cared any at all. Just had enough if it all and decided to pull anchor and get out before anything really bad happens (which I understand happens a lot there). If you choose this place, good luck!!!!!!!!!
