Not a safe place to live

I just wanted to share a personal experience with you all. Finding a safe apartment community is crucial for the security of one's family. Our apartment got broken-into and burglarized last week. The apartment management refused to inform the other residents of this incident in a timely manner. They simply did not care about our loss and even refused to let us out of our lease so we could move to a safer place. There is no surveillance even when the cameras are installed. I lost over 10K in valuables. Police considers this a low priority case. It will be at least 7 to 10 days before our case will be assigned to an investigator. By then, my stuff would probably be sold twice .Even the thieves know that police consider it a low priority case so they boldly take away somebody s hard earned money.
The best bet is to keep renter s insurance.
So, if you are looking for a safe place to live, don t look at Las Ventanas apartments in NW Houston .
