My Fiance' and I moved into these apartments around november of 2008. Well little did we know our first home would be a nightmare. We soon discovered our electricity bill was astronomically high. As in any where from three to four hundred dollars for a 700 sq. ft apartment. Around five months later we realized there were cracks in our front and bedroom doors where the air was being able to escape. As soon as the cracks were fixed by the apartment, our electricity bill went all the way down to $115. Then our air conditioning went out it took almost eight hours for the apartments to get anyone here, and that is the reason our apartment was so hard to keep cool as well. The cord burnt out, so the whole time we kept our apartment on 70 degrees was due to this awfull air conditioning system. So in all honesty our lease is up in about seven months and we will not be renewing our contract!!!!

I have lived at Legacy Park over a year and quite like it. I have one of the larger 2 bdrm/1 bath and my elec was $113, which is the most it's ever been. I keep my a/c on 80 and it's COLD in there in the middle of August in Houston. Maybe this couple should look into a different electric provider. However, I will say that in walking around the property I see a lot of older compressors and quite a few have the rubber insulation worn off, so this is something to look for if you are going to rent here. My complaints about this property are that the pool is too shallow to keep cool in the summer; they forced the Valet trash pickup on us at $25/mo with no options, and this is now causing the hallways to have an odor due to trash leaking into them and no one cleaning them out. The other thing is that although they are pet-friendly, they do not provide the pet waste containers that most apartment complexes do. This causes people to leave the pet droppings in the yards, on the sidewalks, etc.
Other than that, I quite like it there. The staff and neighbors are very friendly and I've never had any trouble getting maintenance there the same day or with vandalism.
