I was told by several people not to move into the complex because I wouldn't be happy. I got a great deal on my apartment and that's the reason I moved here. When I moved in, the apartment was dirty and I had to clean before I could actually move in. My first night there, I was woke up in the middle of the night by people yelling and screaming and the thump, thump of someone's car stereo. I had to call the police because upon calling the apartment answering service, I got no help. A few weeks later I was once again woke up in the middle of the night by gunshots. Come to find out, someone had been shot! About a month ago there was a scratching noise coming from behind my refrigerator. I got scared because it was really loud and I had never heard anything like that before. I pulled the refrigerator out from the wall and saw there was nothing there, but I kept hearing the clawing sound. It was coming from inside my wall! I live on the 3rd floor and something had fallen from the attic into the wall and it couldn't get out. I called management three times that next day and nobody even bothered to return any of my calls! Finally on the second day, they said they had the pest control people out and they couldn't find anything. Well duh! If it's in the wall, they're not going to find anything! The told me they put traps in the attic, but a lot of good that did me. I couldn't even stay in my apartment for over a week because there was that scratching that I'd hear every night. After two weeks of hearing that noise, it stopped; I'm assuming it finally died! After talking to my neighbors, I found out that they'd been told our building was infested with rats and that one of the neighbor's husbands had put a rat trap in the air duct and caught a huge one! They had also found a dead one in their garage. I was recently told that in another building, there was a couple that had rats running freely in their apartment and that the man was having to catch them. They had also found rat droppings in the baby's bed! The complex got movers and moved them. I've only been there a couple of months and am moving in a week. I can't wait. I don't sleep at night because I'm scared rats are going to running around. I go to bed with all of my lights on and both televisions that I have turned up on full volume in hopes that will keep the rats away. And if all this isn't enough to keep you away, two of my neighbors cars have been vandalized. One of them had a tire stolen off their car and another neighbor had their window broken on their truck so that the thiefs could steal his radar detector. I have a neighbor whose patio looks like Sanford and Sons front yard! Stuff everywhere! It's nothing to walk by it and see dog excrements all over thier patio. I've called management several times about it, but nothing has been done. The apartments are not kept up; maintenance can't fix things because the management company won't give them any money to do so with. People in the management office are rude and are not into customer service AT ALL! This place is a dump and I can't believe I didn't listen to those who tried to warn me from the beginning!

Call the sheriffs dept to find out all crime in the whole 77070 area code..
