At first glance, this apartment seems above the rest. Sadly, this is not the case! I have lived here for two years and have been your typical resident, if not better. It's not like I was haggling the office every day about something. And for the first 6 months, everything seemed to be fine and dandy. However, from there, everything went downhill.
In the beginning, the parking issue was only a small annoyance. But having to experience a severe lack of parking every day and then deal with people parking in handicap spaces and fire lanes, you really start to wonder where this apartment's priorities are if they let people park so haphazardly. And there's also a rule that cars cannot be towed without office permission. Of course, this is a double-edged sword as it protects residents from losing their vehicles easily. But then again, it's bad because on Saturday afternoon when the office is closed, if somebody parks in a fire lane that poses a real problem or parks in your covered parking that you paid for, there's nothing you can do for the entire weekend until the office re-opens on Monday.
As for the leasing staff, my gosh what a crock. All they want you to do is sign that lease paper so they can ignore you for the rest of the time you're there. If you start to talk about any problems you might have with the apartment, they automatically treat you like a second-class citizen or as if you are the source of the problem and therefore should fix it yourself. I've never had a problem with the actual maintenance staff though. They always do what they can to fix any problems you may have.
Inside the apartment, everything seems to be ship shape. However, if you look closer, you'll notice that some areas look fishy. All the doors and molding have been heavily painted over, even going so far as painting over the latches and locks so they don't function properly. The row of bathroom lights is entirely crooked! Not even placed parallel to the ground. Even the cabinet doors have been put on poorly; they're not straight.
It was only OK to live here for my two years. I'll be leaving once my lease is up as there's nothing worth staying here for, especially considering the price they're going to make you pay. Save yourself the hassle of moving here and moving out the next year! Keep looking around and you're sure to find a better value than Legacy Pines.

I agree, I recently moved into this apartment complex and I have had nothing but problems. From the carpet not being clean apon move in, to having to call numerous times to have things fixed in the apartment its almost like you feel you are bothering the staff when something breaks and you are the ones paying high dollar. I made a comment to my friend that I feel like I moved into a high class ghetto. Don't mention the gates are always broken. I have lived in Legacy Pines for almost three months and I am already looking for another place to call home. This place was a major disappointment.
