I was robbed at gun point on July 8. I have been living here since May 2008 and have been hearing a lot of fishy things going on that the office is not reporting to the residents. As far as my case goes, I was robbed at gun point while putting my 9 month old daughter in her car seat. The report that came out to the residents about the incident stated that an "alleged robbery" occurred. First of all, it is not alleged. It happened. There were six different police cars that showed up and a report was definitely filed. Second of all, it was not just a robbery in the parking lot. It was aggrevated, the man held a gun to me and my baby. That is a whole new ball game whan someone's life is at stake. The least the office staff could do is be honest with their residents and allow them their right to safety. Simply being accurately informed is a huge first step. I have lived in some pretty crappy apartments and never heard of this much crime in any one location within such a short time span. Something is going on and it needs to be addressed. Fixing the damn security gates would be a step in the right direction as well as being a little less stiff on the budget and go ahead with installing security cameras at least at the entrances. To say the least, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. These are supposed to be "luxury" apartments, and we are certainly paying enough to live here.
