I have lived in the Lodge@Copperfield for 5 months, and overall I would not recommend it. Before we moved in, we were shown the model of the apartment we were going to rent. The model had nice carpet, new appliances, a nice kitchen and so on. They would not let us look at the apartment that we were going to rent because they were "cleaning it". So, a couple weeks later (one week before we were going to move in) we came back to look at the apartment that "was being cleaned" and they said that they were still cleaning it and we could not look at it. The manager said not to worry, that the apartment would be ready for us to move in in a week. So, we made all of the arrangements to move in on a saturday. When we got to the apartment, it was a mess. The carpets were stained, the kitchen and bathroom were dirty from the last people that lived there. The apartment had not been cleaned at all. And to top that off, it was nothing like the model that they showed us. The layout was different, the carpet was different, the washer and dryer looked like they were from the 80's, and the dryer didn't even have the vent hooked up.
But, we had to move in because the lease had run out for our other apt, and we already payed the movers.
We talked with the manager and shared our dissapointment with the apartment, so she said that they would have the apt cleaned first thing monday morning. She also said that we would get our deposit back, but that it would take up to a month.
Well, to make a long story short, they never had the apt cleaned. We called about 20 times and nothing was ever done. Its been 5 months and we have not gotten our deposit back. The manager quit and the new manager says that she has no documentation about us getting our deposit back. Our dishwasher has been broken the entire time we have lived here. My truck has been broken into twice. We were suppose to receive 2 gate keys and only got 1 and it took 3 months to get it. The key that we did get, worked for about a week and quit (I replaced the battery but it is still broken) and they keep saying that I will have to pay $50 to get another key.
And the kicker was that when we turned in our request to not renew our lease, our rent went up by $50 a month. Also, we found out that we had signed a 7 month lease instead of a 6 month lease.

This review looks like my own story at lodge. Each and every thing is same that happened to us. The carpets were dirty when we moved in. The kitchen and bathrooms were dirty and there were pet hair all over the place. My 2 year old used to bring me the pet hair all the time from the carpets and other places. When i turned on the oven for the first time there was a bad burning smell and then i realised the last owner kept his dog in the oven because the oven was full of pet hair too. The kitchen sink is always clogging. Our electricity bill is reaching $250 every month coz the AC, Washer & Dryer ...everything is old. They consume more electricity. Worst of all when we were moving we were told that this is the only appartment that is empty...it was on the 3rd floor so we moved in. And some freak moved on the 2nd floor after a month. Now when my 2 year old runs around during the day, that guy on the 2nd floor bangs on the roof and my son gets scared. We requested an early move out due to this banging but the manager said we will have to pay 1 month rent other penelties. I am just sick of this place and waiting to move out.
