When we were searching for an apartment last year, we decided to move here (Lodge at Shadowlake) because it looked nice and they had a special going on. Overall, I can't wait to move out of here. The office staff just changed, so everyone that works there is new and they all have an attitude problem. Is that how they want to keep renters'

Parking is a problem because everday we have to park in a different side of the complex and then in the morning try to find the car. Maintenance took 2 weeks to come fix a leak in my master shower, which was leaving a big oxidatin stain in my bath tub. Also, don't be fooled by thinking this is a "gated community" because every other day one of these gates are broken and you have to figure out which gate you can get out through every morning. Usually, the back gate doesn't work in the mornings and then at night, the front gates remain open all night long. What a sense of security!

They are also raising the rent by another $25 per month, so for me it's definetly not worth it at all to keep giving them my money for such poor service.

Thank God I'm moving out of here in a couple of months!!!

The rates are getting too high. I lived there for two years and the first time I renewed my lease, they didn't raise my rates. They offered me a second renewal at about $30-35 more. There's no way I'd pay that much for this complex. The apartments are nice, but the leasing office service sucks, and they have a lot FEMA people that are VERY inconsiderate. The apartments across the street at Rio Grande and Estancia have better deals. I moved out and bought a town home. It's ten times better! Apartment living sucks.

The office staff turnover is unbelievable. The office Manager, Mike does not return phone calls & could care less aboout complaints. My husband & I have lived there a few years & it has progressively gotten worse. When we first moved in it was quiet, clean & peacful. Now its like the hood. The walkways are filthy. Trash is left outside apartment doors for days & stains from the trash bags make it all the way down the staircase. It stinks & it is gross. Now to the shocking part, THE OFFICE STAFF DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT. Okay, its not their fault that people put their trash outside their doors, but it is their responsibilty to handle it. I have called...I kid you not...8 times to complain & nothing is done. 90% of the time the office phone is on voice mail, so you can never get through. When you leave a message, they do not call you back. I have paid my rent on time for 4 1/2 years & have never had any issues. I am the ideal resident & the office staff has never shown me any courtesy. You are probably wondering, WHY THE HECK DO YOU STILL LIVE THERE??? We are currently looking for a place to move!
