If only someone cared...

I've been a resident here since 2000. I've seen this wonderful property literally go to hell. More than likely, it's due to a change in management, but I feel as if I'm living in a ghetto now. There aren't any more resident events, virtually ANYONE gets to live here now (it's sooo ghetto), and it's basically gone downhill. I will not be renewing my lease. If I'm going to pay THIS much to live somewhere, the management should see to it that it's nice and well maintained! Some of the tenants here JUST don't care! I mean, when they came to view the property, I'm sure THEY didn't see crap hanging from the balcony! Absolutely NO pride is taken from some tenants, and frankly, I think the management should step in and do something about that. Esthetics play a HUGE part in renters deciding to move on a property. It's awful here. Totally GHETTO. Which brings me to this...I MUST insist that my 'neighbors' not be so generous with their LOUD GHETTO rap music and their obnoxious kids. What's with these people' The apartments are GORGEOUS, great spacious rooms, even a computer area. But too many of the wrong 'type' of people are moving here. If you don't mind such qualities in a so called 'luxury' apartment complex, then make this your home. I'm soooo leaving. Too bad...it used to be really nice here. :-(

May I ask are you saying this apartment is ghetto because there are alot of ------- americans living on the complex? Or are you just saying ghetto in general because of the actions?

are you saying the complex is ghetto because the tenants are listening to rap music or is the complex ghetto because black people can afford to live where you do? I guess if we all stayed in one spot in the "ghetto" you would be happy but guess what? we have money too! We can live where we want and be ethical and have morals like normal people what ever that means. Next time be honest and say i'm moving because I seen black people.

Well, I'm considering moving here. Like I plan on putting money down today. I am a bit concerned about this commnent I am replying to. Who are these ghetto people and what constitutes ghetto music;can there be other types of ghetto music besides rap? I'm pretty sure I would find it totally disturbing and aching to hear heavy metal tunes blasting throughout an apt complex better yet any type of music can be ghetto or obnoxious. I'm not sure if the author of this was referring to black people but I am so mislead with the quotes he/she inserts around "type" and "these people" Who are these people? Just curious. However, I'm more concerned with the crime rate. The author did not say if "these people" (I quote) he dubiously mentions were the ones who play this loud ghetto rap music. Anyway I fell in love with the property at first sight amd management seemed to be very helpful. I guess I will just have to find out on my own. I also spoke with a tenant whom was very nice and spoke very highly of the apartments. Of course I have yet to reside here and may not have room to speak in depth about the apts. but 1st impressions make lasting impressions. Maybe this person will be better off in a secluded area possibly a senior citizen community where there is never any action. I'm pretty sure our elders will not be blasting loud music. Maybe this person is better off in a rural area. Get a grip !! This is a major metropolitan area and I'm pretty sure anywhere you go w/in the metro area you will rin into problems...Katy,Sugarland, The Woodlands, River Oaks area, Memorial Area...what have you. Okay I'm done. If anyone has an honest comprehensive answer/opinion about this place please do share. I'm really excited about signing a lease here. What is the real?

I use to live at this complex from 2000 to 2001 and I moved because of loud neighbors. My neighbor happened to be black. I myself am black and I don't condone racial biggotry however let me say this...sterotypes exist for a reason. At some point a behavior or characteristic was observed or demonstrated within an ethnic group. This doesn't mean all people of that group behave this way, but those that do make everyone look bad. Yes people have money and can move where ever they please, but if you like to play loud music, regardless of genre, hang out in parking lots, have more than 3 people in a 1 bedroom apt, then maybe you need to stay in an area that supports such an environment. Why do these individuals, again regardless of color/race, insist on moving into well maintained complexes and then trashing them? Next question...why get upset when someone calls attention to this?

I have lived at this complex for two years and my boyfriend has live there for 4 or 5 years. When I first moved in it was pretty quite and the rec. room was kept nice and the gym was nice. I used to use the gym alot and there were many times I would go to the gym and there were many teenagers in there and they had the volume of the readio sooo loud it was distorted. This happened so many times managment took out the radio. Then they took the pool stickes and the gym started having broken equipment that was never fixed. I would find children playing in the gym with no supervision. Then I had new neighbors move in that would play music so loud I could even hear the words to the song, but the time they played was the problem 10:30p.m to 3:30 AM. Just last night I saw people that LIVE THERE steal the balloons they put up for valentines day. No respect is how I see it. I had a break in also right by me a couple of weeks ago. I'm getting nervous and the managment told me that they have evicted people that lived there b/c they were thought to have been the ones robbing the complex! It's up to you if someone wants to move in, but i don't recommend it. |
