I am going to do something that most people on these reviews seldom do. I am going to give you some FACTUAL information.
I visited these apartments twice. They are in a changing neighbor. If you are ------- American or Hispanic then you will easily fit right into the neigborhood.
For the FACTUAL info.
I visited the Houston police departments website and looked up the crime statistics. Since each crime listed in the police beat gives you what block and type of building/residence on a street you can identify the crime taking place at an apartment. At this particular adress there is an average of 4 car burglary, 1 car theft, and 1 apartment break in per month.
Now for the arguments. Even if you come in and say that can be true, its the apartments down the street. Well, the police beat says this is all happening at the 14900 block of Richmond and then says it is an apartment complex. Look it up yourself. I looked further West of this location and was able to find a quiet, good price, nice looking, and safe complex.
Oh and by the way, when I asked the girl in the office what the demographics and crime were in the area, she replied "I cannot give you that information, you must go to the Houston Police Department to find out.
The office staff were pushy and rude throughout my visit. One lady actually accused me of wanting to let my girlfriend stay there with me while hiding from them. This was after I asked word for word "What is your policy on guests." I found that to be insulting.

It is so funny how you found them accusing you of trying to move your girlfriend in with you insulting.
I find your statement insulting insinuating a certain group of people will fit right in this complex.
HA HA HA.
YOUR FUNNY.

Well as a resident I can tell you that I agree with the statement that the office staff is rude, with the exception of the assistant manager. Let me give you some facts; The manager is VERY rude, we never met nor did we see her at all until after move in. If you bring something to her attention about the property or your unit, she makes excuses, becomes rude, never offers solutions, and doesn't take the time to bring you to her office or sit in the lobby with you. She makes you stand in the lobby, discuss your problem in front of everyone and if she doesn't like the way the conversation is going she walks off in the middle of it. She is not proactive at all and her normal response is "What do you want me to do about it!" It is a nice complex as far as looks are concerned, but the lack of caring by management is creating real problems. A number of people do not leash their dogs while walking and do not pick up the dog feces even though barrels and bags are provided to do so. Parking IS a problem, they will tell it is not when you come to tour, but it is. Some residents have 3 to 4 cars per apartment, some of which are not functioning and have expired tags. The leasing agents will talk back to you and give you attitude. The walls are very thin in the units, we can hear our neighbor cursing someone just about every morning. You sign a long list of rules upon move-in, which is why we chose to live here, but they do not seem to enforce any of them. The access gates are broken more than they are in service. There is only ONE dumpster for the entire complex, it is in the far back of the property, which leads some of the more lazy, less clean residents to let their trash pile up on their patios and balconies, if you bring this to the attention of the manager she will just sends them a notice, forcing you to smell the trash until the occupant eventually decides to take the trash away.
As far as demographics are concerned, it is a mix of all cultures and races here. It is a representation of Houston with; White, Black, Latino, Indian, -------, and Asian. Most people here are middle class and seem to have those values. There are a few lower class trashy people here, but most are good hard working people.
If they changed the office staff and put in an educated, proactive manager things would be better. If I knew what I know now before I moved in, I wouldn't have signed a lease here.

I'll tell you something funny. I am a single white guy that grew up in a small all white town on the edge of town. I am going to take a W.A.G. and say that I would probably not fit in well here for the same reasons A)white B)from a small all white town C)from the edge of town where it was quiet and lots of space. The opposite of what I just described is obviously attractive to some folks in which case this would be a great apartment for them.
I am an honest hard working American and am highly insulted when someone accuses me of being dishonest before a)they know me b) I even had a chance to do what they are accusing me of.
I got an apartment out in Katy which was much more fitting for a redneck, southern, white guy like myself.

Could not agree more. The manger is the rudest of all. Staff does not posses the level of customer service that one would hope for but they are not horrible. The manager on the other hand is very rude. She seems to be the least helpful. She has a very bad attitude. She is more concerned about defending herself than correcting the issue. The manager is very disrespectful. Claims to always be busy but if you ever poke your head into the leasing office you will notice she never seems to be doing anything. She looks like she hates working here. Her name is Sandy. If you would like to report her you can call Sheng Raamco management at 713 785 3410 or email your complaints to her supervisor at schatelain@raamco.com. If no one reports her she will continue to run this prpoerty into the ground. She will continue to treat residents as if she were doing us a favor instead of making us feel as if we are wanted here. Good luck!
