They were asking me and my fiance to jump through hoops! We already agreed to paying a $2000.00 deposit! We gave them EVERYTHING that we had in order to get into this place.

Before we were SO excited to move into there! Even with a $2000.00 deposit but after that and they still want more information! I don't know how many times they called me or him and said hey, we just need this one last thing and you'll be good.
After about 4 last things... OH MY GOD!

I used to be a property manager at another property. If ANY of my leases would have been done like this there would never be anyone to live there.

I also encourage you to look at the crime reports from HPD. No Bueno!

Anyway we ended up moving to Shadowbriar Apartments. Zero deposit they made the calls to who they needed. Everything that we had said was true and correct. Yea, they were skeptical about the credit score at first but they also saw that he had 2 YEARS of good renting and I had years of good renting!

No criminal history what so ever. Good stable careers. And they did the AMERICAN THING and took us on our word that we'd pay our rent and be quiet people. We don't even party!
We are 80 year old people in 25-30 year old bodies.

For that we took the $2000 that we were going to put towards the apartment, and we pre-paid some of our rent. How nice.

Don't move here. Their nit-picking only shows that you will most likely NOT get your deposit back even if you replaced the carpet and re-painted to their colors.
They will FIND something to complain about.
If I were as nit picky with them I'd ask them why they cannot lock the pool for stray people coming in.
Why cant they have a security officer on patrol all night to make sure I'm safe.
If I have to jump through hoops you should be prepared to as well!

I'm so angry!!! I'm done! I've washed my hands of this crappy complex!

Maybe you just didn't qualify. You can't get mad for not meeting the criteria.

I find it hard to believe that anyone would not qualify...they let ANYONE live here...thugs, the scum of the earth...yep, they're all here.
