On my way out.....

I have lived here since 2007, and have both good and bad things to say. First the cons:
1) The day I was supposed to pick up my keys to move in (already arranged for my stuff to be delivered the next day), the girls in the office left early....I had to put my stuff in storage and move in the next weekend. They were "sorry" but never did anything to make up for it. They seem like nice girls, but tend to be airheads.
2) When I first moved here, all of my neighbors seemed to be decent, middle class families. Now, they're all gone and it's nothing but riff raff and thugs roaming around yelling at each other all hours of the night. As a single young female, I don't feel safe here at night, so I have to be sure I'm home before dark.
3) The trash dumpster is at the very back corner of the complex...it's a pain in the butt to take out the trash. Most of the time when I drive down there to drop off my trash, the trash is overflowing the dumpster and there are mountains of crap surrounding it. The smell is horrendous.
4) The gates have problems more offen than not. There were several months that the gates were left wide open because they were broken. I live near the gate, so I can hear that thing screeching and banging around all hours of the night....hard to sleep with the noise.
5) There was an attempted break-in next door, and my neighbors two doors down have had more than one "domestic disturbance". We've also received multiple notices of vehicle break-ins...apparently a thief has a remote device that can unlock any car, or at least that's what the notice from management claims.
All of that said, there are plenty of pros for this place:
1)I've never had any problems with mold, bugs, or rodents like some people claim...I think I might have seen one roach sometime last year.
2) I've only had a couple of small maintenance problems, but they responded within 24 hours, and then called later to make sure everything was taken care of.
3) I must have gotten the apartment with the thick walls, because in the almost 2 years that I've been here, I have not heard a single sound from the apartment next door.
4) The floorplans are spacious, and the rent is pretty cheap.
5) Other than the initial problem with the office, I have not had any problems.
Even though I have no complaints about the office or maintenance staff, and I really love my apartment, my safety is my top priority. The thugs seem to be taking over the place, so I've finally decided it's time for me to move on to safer pastures. For the quality and size of the apartments, the rent is cheap, but they have to keep the rent low like that to get people to move in with the riff raff. Hopefully this will help someone make an informed decision.

I would agree mostly. I had parking issues. When I needed maintenance it took forever. Some issues I called in they never came to even check. I could hear my neighbors all the time. My boyfriends truck was broken into twice and when we tried to report it the staff was rude.

Thankfully parking has never been an issue where I am...I park in the same space every single day.
