I have lived at the MacGregor for a few months and have had several maintenance requests ignored for months and realized small details were not included when building these "luxury apartments". Compared to other luxury apartments the fixtures are down graded and none of the units have hardwood floors, granite counter tops and the appliances are similar to what you would find in a much cheaper apartment complex. The walls are great, I have never heard my neighbor, but you can definitely hear someone that lives above you. The ceiling walls are very thin and they are only like 10ft tall. The building's exterior is lovely, but the actual units are not as impressive. You can beat what they are offering, I think this location is overpriced and missing too many details. There are no places (shops, malls, grocery stores or dining) near the apartments and you will often find yourself driving across town (the Galleria) for simple things. So just go ahead and pay galleria rent and be close to everything. You can get a better deal near the Galleria.
