Ok, so I came on here to check reviews for an apartment that I am trying to move to from Madison Park and decided to check the reviews here. I have been here for about a year and a half and the first year was perfect. I don't know if they changed management or what but the staff was very friendly and responded quickly. About 6 months ago I found out that I had bed bugs and threw out my mattress and box spring and had just signed another 6 month lease. I wanted out of my new lease of course and they said no-ok cool business is business I understand that. I was even considering moving to another apt even if it meant extending my lease all depending on how they handled it. After informing the office of the issue they stated that I would be put on the list to treat the apartment for a 3 week process starting that Thursday. The first Thursday when I called to check they said the exterminator had been there - yet there was no notice. Imagine my surprise when he showed the NEXT three thursdays. They also half explained what I needed to do to make sure I got rid of them and told me they didn't have any other instances of bed bugs. READ A REVIEW JUST NOW WITH SOMEONE ELSE WHO HAD THE ISSUE. Did the same thing when a mouse problem popped up a couple of months ago (little did they know I recommended a friend who now lives here and was having the same problem after I talked to her). I have phone records and all the dates and times of people I have spoken with and contacted the HAA who suggested I go to the small claims court. I just may now that I see they have been lying all along. Save yourself the headache. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB as well. This is where people live, they should trust that the management will respond honestly and follow through, not just take your rent and expect you to deal with whatever they put out. If they cant handle the amount of apartments they either need more or better employees. I guess you get what you pay for.
