The walls are thin, and windows even thinner. There are homes surrounding the apartments and sometimes the people who live across the street have keg parties until 5am (usually on weekends, but sometimes weeknights as well).

The parking on my level is often full so I have to park on the next level up. There are been some car break ins, but the secret to not having your car broken into is to have a crappy car with nothing in it. Thus I have been 'lucky' in that aspect.

Forget about having guests over.. they wont find parking especially during the day. I see medical center students/staff park in the visitor spots and walk to the med center. I have even seen people wait for Maroneal residents to leave the parking garage so they can drive in through the exit gate and park inside the garage on the first 2 levels.

Management forces you to pay $20/month for trash pickup even if you don't want this service, yet if you put your trash out at the wrong time of day, you are fined $25. That doesn't make sense.

Water bills aren't very fair either. I was told before I moved in my water bill would be from $8-$10 a month (since I live in the smallest unit they have at 610sq ft), but my bill is usually around $11-$12/mo. Not a big deal, but one month I was gone for 3 weeks, and that month's bill was $14. That doesn't make sense either.

Also, insulation seems to be shoddy. My A/C is usually set at 85-87 degrees because my apartment doesn't get much sun so it's not that warm, but my monthly bill has been as much as $170. Ridiculous, especially for only 610sq ft!!

Since I have lived here, water has been out 8 times, power has been out 4 times, and the garage gate has been broken numerous times. If you value good hygiene, dont move here because the water is often turned off without notice.

If you do decide to move here, ask for an apartment that is close to the garage walkways or your arms will fall off when you are carrying your bags of groceries to your apartment door. If you want to find a place to live for more than a year, i dont recommend the Maroneal. Besides all the problems, your rent will increase so significantly at renewal time you will happy to leave.

Aside from the complaints, everything else is mediocre. Management is pretty nice and try to accommodate you. They are super nice when you give them money. Onsite maintenance crew is a pleasure to deal with.
