Dishonest Theives

I moved into this apartment in October 07' I was offered a contract at 60% market value, took it and was told I would recieve all the maintainence requirements I asked for upon signing a contract. I signed, asked for meerely new floor tile in the bathroom, as;
1- it was NOT slip-resistant tile, and,
2- there was literally 6 tiles I could bend over and pick up off the floor.
I recieved a maintainence man over 2 months later, after moving in, that replaced a single FLOOR tile with a SHOWER WALL tile, and didn't even grout it in. It looked TERRIBLE. They never saw a need to fix the other broken/loose tiles. 3 other times, they entered my apartment without my consent to "re-grout" the bathtub that was leaking onto the unit below me... A call would have been nice at the very least if it was "THAT URGENT". I had renewed my lease in October 08' and was given the MAXIMUM rate increase allowable by law. I saw 3 significant increases in H2O bills (from 5$ to 75$, for only 1 month at a time mind you) afterwards, I was told, you used that much water... I laughed, I'm a single guy!!... Then, in Janurary of 08' they decided that the 24 hour security attendant was not required... HELLO! this appartment is WALKING DISTANCE from The Galleria and that guard was a GOOD THING TO HAVE!!!! Needless to say, I starting looking for new places to live, I had had it. I put an offer on a home in Feb 09' and talked to the staff about terminating my lease early, and gave them a 90 day written notice. (Only 30 days required by the contract) We negogiated a fair termination contract (I had never complained, never been late to any payment, and been plesant to live nearby), and 3 weeks before I was to move out, I recieved a notice on the door for OVER 2 times the negogiated amount, approx 4,500$!!!!! I promptly talked to the management, numbers were "re-looked at" and I was given a bill on my door 3 days later for the negogiated amount. It read "FINAL PAYMENT" and had the termination fees, the monthly payment for the due month, etc. I paid it in full, the amount I expected to pay, packed up my stuff, and left.
THREE MONTHS LATER! after closing on a new home, I recieved a call from one of the staff employees there, "You have an account balance of X dollars, bla bla bla, I wanted to call you and let you know before we send you the bill..." ... I laughed, told them they are grasping at air, and pulled out all the old documentation and faxed it to them, the agreement, the bill, the payment, etc. I found out the following week that the girl who was calling me was no longer an employee, and I heard nothing else from them until late september, approx 2 months later... I was handed to collections regarding the amount in question, for ... hear this... a "SURE DEPOSIT" that wasn't paid for the difference. I paid the Sure deposit before I ever moved in back in 2007!!! I have the photo copy of the check! I even went by the apartment when I first recieved the first call, there were NEW RESIDENTS IN THE APARTMENT!! if they are claiming "unpaid rent for the remainder of the lease", they are breaking the law... beyond filing un-just claims, I'm calling my lawyer tomorrow, they will not be in buisness for long if I can't help it.
I have waited to post this review, as I assumed the issue was settled when the previous employee was "let go..." I was going to keep my mouth shut and leave it "inside" but now they pulled the last straw. I might file to channel 11 defenders to top it all off if need be.
