Crime is out of Control

I have lived at the Marquis for 3 years and the crime since the new management has taken over has skyrocketed. My car has been broken into twice in the past two months along with 6 of my neighbors. On a separate occasion, just last night actually, 2 cars had the wheels stolen right off them and were left on bricks. There has been two separate incidents in the last three months were people were robbed or assaulted at gunpoint and one where someone was hit on the head with a brick while assailants attempted to enter into their apartment. Management has not taken a single step in ensuring that things change. All that has been said is "we are working on it" and "we have notified corporate". I even moved units out of fear of being on the first floor. The will not let anyone out of their lease w/out 2 months notice and an 85% reletting fee. In two months who knows what will have gone on here. It only seems to be getting worse. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Marquis on Westheimer. I wish I had.

I saw that corvette without wheels! They didn't even put it on blocks, they got two decorative rocks from one of the walkways so the Corvette was tilted back and they stole someones doormats to rest it on in the back. That was so sad! It must have had expensive tires.

Yeah i got the same "We're working on it" from the office. Their solution I heard was a community watch. that's great...so not only is my rent going up, I have to put my life at risk as well to do the job of the 3 HPD officers who are living here for free. All i know is we're a few events shy of someone getting shot on the complex. Maybe then the management will wake up. They should be forced to live here with us or maybe it's their friends who are the perps. Either way they are part of the problem and not part of the solution. They are nice but nice doesn't get results all the time!!
