Nice safe neighborhood, very close to Rice university

It's almost two years since my husband and I moved into Maryland Manor, and we love it. It's a pity that we have to leave soon, and it's only because of moving to another state.
The neighborhood is safe and green, with many beautiful houses and trees around. Maryland Manor is 10 minutes on foot from Rice. It's ideal if you study or work there, especially if you don't have a car or don't want to pay for the university parking.
The only disadvantage of this place is that sometimes, especially on weekends, the neighbors may have loud parties. Well, we tried to sleep (at the first floor) while they were dancing (at the second floor, right above us); fortunately, they moved out recently.
Two other notes: It is very humid in Houston, so take care to clean away any mold as soon as you see it. The walk-in closets in our one-bedroom apartment are rather small, so we did not install the washer/dryer but used that space as additional storage (there is a laundry room on-site).
Maintenance is very fast and reliable. For example, once we came home after midnight and could not open the door of our apartment (it turned out that I had broken the lock); it was fixed within 20 minutes. The management is very good.
I definitely recommend Maryland Manor.
