I recently moved out of this complex and would not suggest anyone live there who has pets. Their pet policy requires a nonrefundable deposit and pet rent of I think $15 a month for one pet and $25 for two or something like that. I have two cats so I paid the nonrefundable deposit - I think it was $200 or so - and the monthly pet rent AND an allegedly refundable deposit of about $200. Well they must never refund that. They claimed there were 'pet stains' on the carpet pad that had soaked through the carpet and required changing the carpet. First of all, I find that hard to believe. My cats never ever went anywhere other than there litterbox. There were a fair number of hairballs, admittedly, but (not to gross anyone out) they were always solid in consistency and easily cleaned with a wipe of resolve cleaner just to disinfect. The carpet was not brand new when I moved in and the stains could have been from the prior owner. Also, how do they know they were 'pet stains' and not normal wear/tear' I pointed out that I would hope they replaced carpet between owners every time there were pets, regardless. Come on - if someone with allergies moved in after a pet had lived there it would be unbearable and they'd have to move out. You cannot clean carpet well enough to remove pet hair/dander for someone with allergies. But no. Allegedly they can make that crappy carpet last 4 years. Please. So while I was generally satisfied with the apartment, I would specifically recommend that any pet owners NOT live there, unless they plan on forking over an additional several hundred dollars in fees and nonrefundable deposits.
