I lived here when it was still Amli. The location can't be beat. You've got easy access to every major highway, and of course, are surrounded by restaurants and shops within walking distance. Of course the downside to this is that it gets VERY loud. If you don't plan on being out enjoying the nightlife, then you might rethink living here since you're going to hear everything that's going on outside well into the middle of the night. As a result of the partying, we also had problems with vomit in the hallways and things like that.
The apartment itself looked very nice. The bathrooms, kitchen, and closets were a good size, especially for the price (which was reasonable at the time.)
Although street parking was hard to find in the evenings and weekends, the parking garage is very nice and I never had a problem finding parking. One thing I liked about the garage is that you could get to any apartmnet by traveling through the halls. This was nice at night or when it was raining because you didn't have to go outside at all. There were occasional car break-ins, but nothing of huge concern, and there was a security guard on the grounds at night from Th-Sat when the bars were busiest.
There were definitely some quality issues here. For example, fire alarms would frequently go off for several hours before they were fixed. One time, my down wouldn't open and I couldn't get our of the apt. without removing the doorknob. I would think this was a fluke except that it happened to another friend as well.
I think these apts are nice, but there are even nicer apts for the price in other parts of the city. You're definitely paying for the location here so if you're going to take advantage of this, it might be worthwhile. Otherwise, you can definitely find better places in this city.
The reason I moved out though was because after my first year, the rent for year two was going to increase by $200! This seemed very unreasonable for us so we moved out.
