Looks nice, sounds nice . . .

Well, I was fed up with where I was living (noise, usless air conditioning and various minor problems) so I looked around. The Metropole looked great, but was still under construction and wasn't really up and running. Nevertheless, I needed somewhere and the location was good; it was all brand new, so what could be wrong'
Lots could be wrong! The washing machine didn't work, the fridge door didn't open without banging on the work top, there was nowhere to put trash, the security gates weren't installed and cars were being broken into already and lots more.
It was bad enough for a residents' group to form itself very quickly to pressurize the management, which did have the effect of getting action and things have improved.
The management seems to be very poor and only one of the girls in the front office seems to be listening to you when you speak to them. Nothing happened to the work order they wrote for my apartment and when I went back they found it in the bottom of a drawer.
Despite being told that the walls were double thick, we already have very loud music coming through. There's a fairly young crowd living there and we've had several instances of drunks on the balconies at night being really loud.
Would I move there if I could go back in time' Probably not, but now I've signed a lease!
