High Promise, Low Delivery

My roommate and I had high hopes for The Metropole, which is marketed as a luxury property with upscale ameneties. I knew I was moving into a building under construction--so I expected a few quirks. But I did not expect such unprofessional management. Virtually all of the ameneties promised to me when I signed the lease were not available after moving in over 2 months ago! One thing I was excited about was the package service, whereby a conceiege delivers packages. Not only has this not been put into place, but the management company refuses to build a big enough box for the post office. As a result, residents (I've spoken to several about this) have to go to the post office and get their own packages! The pool was promised to be open in early July, yet is stil closed. Ditto for the gym. Secured access gates were supposed to be up months ago, yet the building has no car gate and no locks on common doors. As a result, there have been a few crime incidents. I put in maintence orders over a month ago and they have gone unfulfilled.
This place has potential but our expectations are poorly managed (promised made, never delivered) and service is far from what one would expect at an upscale complex--let alone any complex. The apartments look great, but this places lack of service and ability to deliver on promises would keep me from resigning next year.
