Management Lies about Everything / Should have moved to 1200 Post Oak

I just wanted to say that everything written in these negative reviews is absolutely true. If management/leasing girls would do what they tell you they will do before you sign the lease (or after you sign the lease for that matter) this would be a good place to live. But they lie about everything, so it is a terrible rip off.

Garage is a nightmare. Firewalls between all apartments were promised but firewalls do not exist. Some people were promised "double insulation" in the walls and that does not exist either!! We have none of the services promised, no concierge, no mail services, no fitness center, no conference room, no service runners, no trash shoots -- so they are making us pay for a trash service,, which they do not tell you about up front. I could go on and on about things we were promised that would be included in living here, according to the brochure and the property's web site.

We pay full price and have virtually nothing that we expected for our money. Management has (so far) refused to reduce rent to compensate for what they are not offering but continue to advertise as part of the property living experience.

We Do Have: The promised "walking distance to Greenway Plaza" and big Cockroaches.
The pattern on Maintenance Requests is that management responds after 7 weeks or more.
Really terrible service at the Metropole, they can't even provide timely maintenance much less
the additional services advertised.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. 1200 POST OAK AT LEAST DELIVERS WHAT THEY ADVERTISE !!!

why is garage a nightmare... are walls thin? and what do you mean by "paying for trash service" -- interested renter

The garage is an accident waiting to happen. They have installed mirrors only after residents demanded them to avoid accidents. Blind spots everywhere and cars are vulnerable to all the elements. I personally have not had problems with "thin" walls. Yes you have to pay for trash pick-up $20/mo. (lease addendum). You also pay $23/mo. for trash at Camden Place on Timmons Ln. but they have made it part of the rent and not a separate charge.

I'm curious about how an individual could be an "interested renter" while reading all these reviews because its apparent that this person doesn't (yet) live here. Regardless I will tell you this: management advertises trash shoots and insists you wait to sign lease documents until the exact day of your move. That's when you find out that there are no trash shoots and they are charging an extra fee for trash pick up. A general lack of integrity on the part of management is prevalent about many things, not just the trash issue. The comment about thin walls in the garage is not clear. The garage is a design flaw. If you want to find a reasonable situation for yourself or your vehicle, if you are interested in finding a situation that is within the qualifiers of being reasonably secure, find some other property where they are realistic. It is apparent that this development company just doesn't have experience in building properties like this one in major cities. It is constructed as if we are located in a small rural city as several items in the garage and on the property seem to indicate general inexperience. We were not allowed to view the garage before signing the lease due to lack of construction permits but were orally told it would be otherwise. Verbal statements made by management mean nothing before you sign a lease, or after you sign a lease, so just beware!! You cannot believe the stuff that management still passes off onto residents.
