I hate having CDs and valuable stuff in my car. Luckly, burglars are there to steal my stuff. What more can a tenant ask for'

Pre-leasing started in April 2007...it HAS NOT even been a year and the mid-rise is completely occupied. Get your facts straight! The owners were not looking for someone to buy the property...if you hate it so bad why don't you ask management if you can get out of your lease? I know the management team very well, and they have made it known that they will let people out of the lease...go find another property that you like better!

right... friend of the mgmt team? sounds interesting to me. If you dont mind paying for my contract break up fee and moving expenses. i'd love to meet you.
how long has it taken the high-rise to be built and how many people are actually living there? IN MY PERSONAL OPINION... trash.

To Friend of Management: Clearly the mid-rise is not completely occupied, that's obvious. The original poster was not using the term "buy" in the literal sense. Be a little intelligent. The leasing office will say anything, absolutely anything to lease an apartment here. Frankly, having been lied to on many counts in order to obtain our own lease at the Metropole, management should pay all our expenses in moving out, complete repayment of all deposits, utility transfer and all monies paid into a property that does not meet management's advertised claims and therefore, our expectations. Friend of Management, grow up. This is a business contract for which the Metropole has no regard.
Therefore, the builder hasn't been able to "sell" the Metropole and "buyers" (tenants) are not eager to lease here. The word is Out!

Following the burglary of the cars in the garage on Wednesday early am (apr 29, 2008), the management office posted a notice on the door of each apartment to remind all tenants that it is each tenant's responsibility to ensure their own security and safety. It does not appear to concern management that they induced people to move here with promises of security gates and doors with controlled access. Unfortunately for the people whose cars have thus far been burglarized, management does not accept any responsibility for the dimness of the garage--caused by lights that have been out for MONTHS!!!!! Management also does not accept responsibility for the fact that the automobile security gate entrance manfunctions constantly and must be left wide open to the public over and over and over and over and over again!!!!!! Management does not accept responsibility for leaving doors into the building (e.g. east door into the hallway of the midrise) wide open 24 hours a day for MONTHS!!!!!! The outrageous part of all of this is the following: it took only a few short hours to have notices posted to all tenants reminding them of the own personal responsibility for their own security, but it has been months and months of a broken garage lights, doors to the building left wide open, and a automobile garage entrance gate that has NEVER worked properly enough to justify not scrapping it and starting over. GET THE MESSAGE MANAGEMENT. Eventually someone here will be murdered or raped and your repeated failures to solve the security deficiencies will cause The Metropole to be held financially liable. Your swift reminders that security is a tenant responsibility will not allow you to avoid civil liability. WAKE UP AND SOLVE THE SECURITY PROBLEMS BEFORE A TENANT IS EVEN MORE SERIOUSLY VICTIMIZED.

LIGHTING IS TERRIBLE IN THE GARAGE AND MANAGEMENT COULD CARE LESS. The notice posted on our doors essentially states that while we are bound to our leases (or incur heavy penalties for breaking a lease) that we live here at our own risk EVEN WHILE GREYSTAR KNOWINGLY INCREASES THAT RISK WITH THE LACK OF LIGHTING IN THE GARAGE along with the non-existent security to our building and to the garage itself-- which are promised to us in the property's brochure.
