I have been counting the days until I can move out of this place. I live in the mid-rise. From day one, I have been inconvenienced. I don't mind paying the rent, but not for such poor quality. The following is my experience: roaches, awful smells in the hallways, stained carpet ALREADY and it's new (they tried to clean it once, but it won't come out so I guess they are done trying), torn carpet in the halls--embarrassed to have people over because the exterior in the halls is so ghetto, can hear the person above me urinating and flushing and showering, can hear the person below me watch movies, can hear neighbor's alarms every morning, the drains get clogged frequently, but you can't fix it yourself b/c you can't remove the nozzle cap so they have to come and clean the drains every time it happens, the washers don't work well (also new), the dishwasher is VERY loud, the gate is ALWAYS broken (and PS, the security guard that isn't there anymore was sketchy and worried me like a bum/intruder would), the after hours reps are very rude, the management team is clueless and seems off in what is "due" randomly...the list goes on and on. If you are planning on leaving soon, call and see what they charge for a month to month and all the additional fees they tack on!!!! Blew my mind. Can't wait to get out of this shack.

I also can't wait to leave and I totally agree with what you both have said. The dishwasher is super noisy, the refrigerator water filter always says it needs replacing, my washing machine leaves fabric softener on my clothes forcing me to wash loads twice, the doors from the garage into the building are extremely noisy when they slam shut, the gates are always broken, etc. They don't even have the good tea in the coffee room anymore; they went from Tazo to Bigelow. The gym is tiny for the amount of people it should accomodate, I get random balance due letters when I have paid and always have to go show my checkbook proof, etc. I can't really hear my neighbors though, but can hear the plumbing from above me in the bathroom. Good thing I only have a few more months left.

LOL....again. As the original person had stated how nasty the hallways were (are) in the mid-rise, they were cleaning them today. As for the dishwasher I have only used mine a couple of times. It is very very loud. I hand wash my dishes and use the dishwasher as the drying rack. The washer and dryer are crap. The first couple of time I used the washer it ruined some of my things. Turns out it was stuck in heavy-duty mode. The frig. (at least the over/under) has a water dispenser only. So if you still happen to have the urge to tour Metropole don???t be fooled???not a ice dispenser. Try ordering delivery....joke. You have to go meet them because 1) they can't find your unit or 2) can???t get in the building now that the fob system is in place and the ???thing??? in the parking garage doesn???t work. I have to agree with the tea situation. What's up with that? Is the coffee even Starbucks anymore? I'm pretty sure Starbucks doesn't server Bigelow Tea. And to round this off, the gym. If you want to take any reading material in there, there is only one treadmill you can get on and be able to see what you???re reading. The lighting is horrible. Even though the windows are tinted it???s very hot during the day. I can't stress enough what a -----ty place this is.
