I have recently moved into Metropole and I find it to be a wonderful place to live! The office staff has been very helpful to my needs. I moved here recently from New York and knew nothing about this area and the staff gave me some great information on the surrounding areas and Houston in general. I am happy to say that I have not heard my neighbors nor half of the problems I have read on here. I am very happy to live here and would recommend this place to others!

Good to see a positive review. People only take the time to post negative reviews and usually don't post good thoughts. And to pre-empt the person who is going to say this post is from the manager... grow up. (I only say that in advance because you've said it on every single other positive post). Just because someone has a different opinion than you doesn't mean it must be a conspiracy! Anyway, in reply to this post... I too am very happy with this place. The location is great and I think my floorplan is one of the best one bedroom floorplans around. The staff has been exceedingly helpful so I have no complaints there. I will admit that I can hear through the walls from time-to-time. Whenever my neighbor has people over to watch a basketball game I can hear them cheering the team on. And, I can faintly hear my other neighbor's phone ring (it must be right next to the wall though). Also, I can hear the high heels of my neighbor above me on the tile. Lastly, the gate is broken more often than I'd prefer. However, none of those issues are bad enough that I would not recommend this place to a friend. In fact, I have recommended it to friends and they have moved in. I do think that with the new pricing they are starting to get over priced. But, that is probably because of the crappy housing market. Bad housing market or not, though, I do have my limits on what I am willing to spend (ability to and willing to are different things) and will be interested to see how interested they are in keeping good tennants when it comes time to re-sign.

As to "Awesome Place to Live"...give it some time you haven't been here long enough or you're a simple-ton and have no needs. And as to "MetroMidrise3rdFloor" your right a little noise is no big deal but all the other crap that is posted on this sight is real and I would never talk people into moving into the hellhole. As far as the rent increase; bet on it, the owner is suffering bad. That???s why all the nickel & dime-ing.

The complaints about the Metropole are completely correct. Whoever you are from New York-- give it some time, the construction here is really bad, I can hear my neighbor yacking on her cell phone all the time and I know what TV channel my other neighbor has turned on. The property is still unfinished and from what I understand, people started living here in July 2007. The appliances are cheap and loud. The garage is unfinished. The management staff cannot be trusted.
