How in the WORLD is it possible that other apartment complexes that (1) are far less "upscale", (2) are in neighborhoods that are not as nice, and (3) are far less expensive than the Metropole can afford to have 24-hour visible security on the premises, and cameras'''' I just cannot understand this concept. The gate breaks - so let's just leave it open for days!! A Tahoe and a Mercedes get their tires removed from them in the middle of the night, but let's not have any security visible to these lovely thieves...and not to mention to the tenants to provide some peace of mind. Let's tell the tenants (right after the tire incident) that security cameras will be installed...but two months later, have we seen one camera' Nope! But did another car just have its tires removed this past Friday night' Yep! This time it was on the 4th floor! Wonderful! We are told that "an HPD officer lives on the premises and patrols the property." Really' When does he patrol' I haven't seem him. And can he patrol it 24 hours a day' Um, he needs to sleep and eat, right' So, who is his replacement' Or is he only patroling at night....and if so, why did the tire incident happen' And if so, that's just great, because the car break-ins happened during the day...when the lights were out yet again in the parking garage.
I mean, are you serious!! For the repulsive amount of money we pay, there should be 24-hour security VISIBLE at all times...there should be cameras...if the gate breaks, additional security should be hired to be at the gate...lights in the garage should be operable 24-hours a day (it's a garage...it's dark in the during the day!)...and management should have taken care of all of these issues before even allowing people to move in. This has been the worst living experience I have ever had. I am truly petrified to have my car in the garage. I cannot WAIT to move out - I am literally counting down the seconds!
